Two-factor authentication and customisable client dashboard

Welcome to our weekly product update. Each week, we highlight Briefcase’s latest features and AI improvements designed to make bookkeeping and accounting workflows simpler and more efficient. Here’s what’s new.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) 🔒

Add an extra layer of protection to your Briefcase account with two-factor authentication.

Enable 2FA in six quick steps

  1. Open Settings (⚙️ top-right).

  2. Go to User settings.

  3. Click Enable 2FA.

  4. Pick where you’d like your codes delivered Authenticator app or email.

  1. Re-enter your password to confirm.

  1. Follow the on-screen prompts to finish setup.

Once enabled, Briefcase will ask for a 2FA code every 30 days or whenever you sign in from a new device.

Heads-up: 2FA will become mandatory over the next few weeks. Turn it on today and stay ahead.

Customisable client dashboard 👁️

Show only the data that matters, descriptions, due dates, totals, or any mix you like.

To customise the view

  1. Open a client account.

  2. Click View (top-right).

  3. Select the columns you want to see.

Your choices are saved automatically and apply to every client dashboard you open.
