Welcome to our weekly product update. Each week, we highlight Briefcase’s latest features and AI improvements designed to make bookkeeping and accounting workflows simpler and more efficient. Here’s what’s new.
Sorting & Filtering
You can now sort transactions in both your Inbox and Archive by Date, Document Type, Vendor, Category, Total Amount, and VAT Rate, just click the arrows beside each column header.
To narrow things down apply filters for Date Range, Total Amount, or Document Reference to find exactly what you need.

Split PDFs up to 50 pages
Our automatic document-splitter now supports PDFs of up to 50 pages and is more reliable and consistent. Upload via web, WhatsApp, or email and splitting happens automatically.
See who uploaded each document
In both the transaction Inbox and the Details view you can now see who uploaded a document and when, across all upload methods (web, WhatsApp, email).

Upgraded extraction engine
We have upgraded our transaction processing AI agent to use the latest, most accurate extraction model that is able to recognise subtle differences in hard to read documents.
Other thing’s that we shipped
Performance improvements: page load times are now 300 ms faster, so Briefcase feels almost instantaneous.
More line items: Create up to 40 line items per transaction (previously 20).
Disconnected Clients: Delete disconnected clients directly from the dashboard.
