Automated invoice splitting
Welcome to our weekly product update. Each week, we highlight Briefcase’s latest features and AI improvements designed to make bookkeeping and accounting workflows simpler and more efficient. Here’s what’s new.
Automated invoice splitting ✂️
You can now upload a single PDF containing multiple invoices, and Briefcase will automatically split it into separate documents, each processed independently. This is especially handy if you often scan physical invoices in bulk or work with suppliers (like Amazon) who bundle multiple invoices into one file.
How It Works
Upload your multi-invoice PDF just as you would any other document.
Detection & Splitting: Briefcase identifies individual transactions and creates separate documents for each.
Multiple Pages: Each split invoice can span multiple pages.
Archiving: The original multi-invoice PDF is archived, while each transaction is labeled with a reference to the original file.
Page Limit: Automatic splitting currently supports PDFs of up to 20 pages.

Other things that we’ve shipped
Line Item Deletion: You can now quickly remove a line item by clicking the ‘x’ next to it.
